Chronic Fatigue Treatment

Patients often compare the resolution of unexplained chronic physical and mental fatigue to “experiencing heavy weights lifted from both body and mind”. Studies show that body and mind can only accommodate to so many stressors, accidents, trauma, and other overwhelming events. Beyond a given limit, they will take a serious functional toll resulting from the “crash” of particular brain function. Chronic fatigue can have physical, cognitive, emotional or intellectual components.

In chronic fatigue, the loss of physical and mental stamina is commonly misinterpreted as the result of “clinical depression”. In fact, brain energy appears to be channelled and re-directed to primarily support critical physical, cognitive, and emotional control areas that are not working and coping well. Stimulating the body’s systems through stimulating brain controls allows the energy to be restored.
