Concussion

  • Concussion – NHL Hockey PlayerConcussionI am a professional hockey player, initially with the Maple Leafs, then the San Jose Sharks, and then Los Angeles Kings. I experienced two concussions between 1994 and 1997, being unable to return to play for several weeks after each. After my third concussion in 1999, I was unable to play for 7 months. When I finally came back I was unsure of my balance and on-ice skills. This was devastating because I was a young player maturing into a solid two-way player and capable of becoming more.

Until I met and worked with Philippe Souvestre, I wondered if my “edge” was lost forever. But he was able to assure me from the start that we would get my abilities back to 100 percent. In the 7 months I was treated by Philippe, I experienced my best cardio-vascular conditioning and the longest healthy stretch of my life. I had previously been restricted by a poor sense of space, balance, and neck and groin problems that had greatly affected my hockey play. No one else was able to fix or help my ailments. Just as Philippe assured, he was able to fix my coordination and pain. I slept like a baby after the treatments having the best sleeps ever. The treatment program has allowed me to enjoy success back on the skating rink, which meant a great deal to me.

It was a big difference for me being on top of my game and then finding myself faced with being out of the job I had dreamed of doing my whole life. Philippe’s knowledge and research in the combination of neurology and kinesiology has given me a chance at reaching my dream once again. I cannot thank him enough for his results with my case. He really seems to be one or two steps ahead of the North American field. I wish there were more medical professionals to help with all the brain trauma injuries that seem more of a concern the last few years. There might not be so many people in pain if there were more Philippe’s around.

This was the most productive concussion treatment I’ve ever done in my entire career. I have never come across any health professional anywhere that was as effective as Dr. Souvestre.

    Sincerely,

  • Multiple Concussions from Horseback RidingHorseback RidingI had several concussions from horseback riding, fibromyalgia, and was extremely sensitive to light and noise. Dr. Souvestre gave me confidence. The treatment was able to allow me to get off the drugs that were hurting me. Initially I had a lot of mental confusion and as a result of the treatments, but then experienced crystal clear thinking by the end of the program. Combining NeuroKinetics treatment with hyperbaric oxygen treatment was very effective, and all my other symptoms were addressed. The outcomes he predicted were met with outstanding success.

  • Dear Colleague, Dr. P. Souvestre,

We have been collaborating for over two years now and, as agreed in 1990, we are advising you of our observations concerning the clinical state and work situation of patients who we have placed in your care since then.

These patients presented mainly disabling lumbar pain or post-concussion syndrome.

Thanks to your care, these patients have improved significantly, with the reduction or disappearance of pain, vertigo or fatigue.

This improvement has allowed these workers to remain at work (manual labor including difficult postures, work in elevated areas, driving machinery or vehicles).

We wish to thank you for all that you’ve done and send warmest regards.

Neurokinetics and DR. Souvestre have changed my life. On May 10th 2010 I took a blow to the back of my head. For 5 months I was walking around in a fog, no energy, dizziness, problems thinking clearly and unable to exercise without pain in my head. I started treatment on Oct 12th 2010. Less than one month later I feel incredible and actually feel better than before my head injury. My energy is back 100%, I have clear thinking and no symptoms. Everyone notices a huge difference in me and say it is “nice to have you back”…

When I talk to people about it, they say “isn’t it expensive”. Here is what I say: “What is your brain worth? What is expensive is not being able to think clearly, walking around in a fog, not being able to exercise, not knowing if you are ever going to be “normal” again, not being able to run your businesses properly… that is expensive. What you will pay pales in comparison to have your life back!”
